Sonalee Kulkarni, M.B., B.S. (M.D.)
Dr. Kulkarni is a Board Certified Neurologist and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. In the United States, she practiced for a year as a Neuro-Ophthalmologist in Indianapolis, Indiana and was a Volunteer Clinical Lecturer at Indiana University, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Kulkarni completed her medical school (M.B.B.S. – Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) and Ophthalmology residency at Seth G. S. Medical College (King Edward Memorial Hospital) in Mumbai, India. In India, Dr. Kulkarni was a practicing Ophthalmologist (private practice) in Mumbai, India. She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital at Forest Hills, New York, and a Neurology residency at the University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. She did a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa (Ophthalmology Department), and also a Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship (with emphasis on EMG/ Neuromuscular) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Her extensive training has given her additional expertise in Neuro-ophthalmology and in Neurophysiologic testing, including EEG and EMG/NCS, which is used in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders and various other neurological conditions.
