John W. Cochran, MD,
FACP
Overview
Dr. Cochran was born in Pennsylvania, and has been a resident of
and has practiced medicine in Northern, Virginia since 1978. His
medical specialties include: Neurology, Neurophysiology, and Sleep
Disorders.
Philosophy/Approach
"Our practice has research experience in sleep disorders as
well as chronic pain, headache, memory, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy
and Alzheimer's disease. When treating patients, I balance my interest
in investigating the root cause of my patient's concerns with my
patient's needs. My patient's needs come first.
It is my philosophy that the 'Patient is the Boss'
in the final determination of what is done both diagnostically and
therapeutically. I see my role as one of evaluating my patient and
giving my patient all of their options. To help my patients, I try
to always plot out a road map of what the first step is and what
the subsequent steps might be depending on the outcome of the first
step."
