Lewis B. Eberly, MD, PhD
Overview
Dr. Eberly was born in Nebraska, and has been
a resident of and has practiced medicine in Northern Virginia since
1990. His medical specialties include: Neurology, Neurophysiology,
and Sleep Disorders.
Degrees and Certifications
Dr. Eberly is board certified in Sleep Medicine, Neurology and
he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology.
He earned
a BA
in Psychology from The University of the South in Tennessee in
1972. He did graduate studies in Natural Science and Biology
from North
Texas State University from 1972-1976, earned a PhD in Neurophysiology
in 1981 from the University of Texas Medical Branch and earned
his
MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in
1985. Dr. Eberly's internships and residencies were at the Texas
Tech
Medical Center, The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center,
Department of Neurology, Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas,
and
the Dallas Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Dr. Eberly had fellowships at The University of
Texas Southwestern Medical Center and the Sleep-Wake Disorder Center
at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.

Dr. Eberly is a member of the:

- American Medical Association
- Medical Society of Northern Virginia
Other Related Activities
Dr. Eberly teaches medical students at Georgetown University, house
staff at Inova Fairfax Hospital, and psychiatric residents at Inova
Fairfax Hospital in addition to his clinical and research work.
In addition, Dr. Eberly is also involved in neurological
and sleep disorders research and has presented and published extensively
on these subjects.
